With a history of 30 years, this place specializes in one thing: Dakgalbi (spicy stir-fried chicken). It’s the non-spicy version. It’s the taste that feels like homemade, just like when your mom makes it. I ordered the Authentic Dakgalbi for three people. Once it’s cooked, it’s incredibly easy to eat. You can choose from mild, regular, or spicy levels. The regular level is mostly not very spicy, while the spicy level is bound to be seriously hot. If you’re a fan of spiciness, definitely go for the spicy level. The chicken’s texture is quite tender, almost akin to pudding. It’s easily chewable and matches exceptionally well with the seasoning that embodies the owner’s know-how. When you order initially, make sure to get the udon side dishโ€”it’s practically a rule. Mix it well, cook, and enjoy. You can’t skip the fried rice at the end. If you scrape off the crispy rice at the bottom and eat it, that’s a little moment of happiness.

You don’t need to go all the way to Chuncheon, famous for dakgalbi. This is the authentic Chuncheon-style dakgalbi you can enjoy in Bangbae-dong. While Bangbae-dong might not have a lot of restaurants or cafes, it’s a great place for a stroll. As you walk along the path, you might encounter a forest. There are resting spots along the way, and even a library.
