This place offers an authentic taste of Thailand, rejecting Korean adaptations. A Thai local chef prepares the meals. I was surprised by how quickly the food was served. The mural is striking, as if it brings a piece of Thailand itself. They even sell soju here. Think of it as a Thai-style bar. It’s best to enjoy a variety of dishes and bring several people. One of the dishes is a jokbal (pig’s feet) rice bowl, which is a must-order. It sweeps your mouth clean, leaving a lasting impression. The rice is soaked in broth, topped with tender jokbal that is chewy and rich in flavor. This is a dish I must order every time I visit; it’s not an option but a necessity. Be mindful of limited ingredients. The kao man gai (chicken rice) is a hidden menu item not listed. You have to ask the owner if itโ€™s available, who then checks with the chef. The rice, cooked till it’s perfectly fluffy, is topped with chicken. The sauce is the highlight; it’s similar to a strong doenjang (fermented soybean paste) sauce, perfect for dipping. The chicken is well-cooked and pairs wonderfully with green curry.

Above Kapom, there is a second brand restaurant called ‘Leu Leu’, established by Kapom. ‘Leu Leu’ offers street food that appeals to the younger Thai crowd, reminiscent of a night market. It provides a different local experience from Kapom. If the wait at Kapom is too long, trying ‘Leu Leu’ is also a great option.
