This place is notorious for long waits. Every time I passed by, there was always a queue. Armed with this intel, I decided to visit the next morning. Thankfully, I hit the jackpot with an open spot as soon as I arrived. At the neighboring table, a traditional set meal arrived. Just looking at the refreshing soba and tempting tempura visuals, I immediately made up my mind about the menu.

Out came the neat cold/tempura meal. Indeed, it’s a taste that justifies the wait. The chewy noodles slide gracefully into your mouth. The perfectly balanced broth, with just the right amount of saltiness, complements the noodles perfectly. I even sipped the broth separately to savor its pure essence. It sent shivers down my spine in the best way possible. And the tempura, which looked so appetizing, exceeded my expectations. It’s worthy of being called a tempura hotspot. The texture of the tempura is beyond description.

Of course, the rice topped with furikake was deliciously savory. Then came the warm soba and chicken skin gyoza. It was my first time trying chicken skin gyoza here. Inside the crispy chicken skin, there’s a rich filling. It’s topped with perilla leaves and garlic stem. After two pieces, I was already feeling satisfied. It was a thoroughly gratifying meal.
