It’s like biting into a cloud with this cotton candy pork cutlet. The tenderloin is unbelievably soft, almost like a dream. This place in Chungra knows how to do tonkatsu right. I arrived just after lunch and already the joint was buzzing with customers. Luckily, I managed to snag one of the last seats. Peeking outside, I saw 3-5 groups patiently waiting, rain or shine.

I opted for the tenderloin cutlet. They use locally sourced pork here, aged with yeast salt for that deep, rich flavor. The first bite is all about the salt, perfectly complemented by a dab of wasabi. And don’t forget to order a side of curry – dipping the cutlet in curry halfway through elevates the experience to a whole new level.

For something extra special, try the Mixed Gochi set, featuring a sweet potato cheese tonkatsu and sirloin tenderloin. The cheese in the sweet potato cutlet is wonderfully gooey, so you’ve got to savor it fast before it firms up. And the sweet potato, sourced from Haenam, is bursting with flavor. It’s a perfectly balanced and downright irresistible combination.
