It seems the owner has a deep appreciation for coffee. They have a partnership with Sey Coffee, a specialty coffee roastery from Brooklyn, USA. Sey Coffee exclusively handles single-origin beans, emphasizing the distinct flavors of each bean. The espresso menu uses beans from ROKI Coffee in Seongsu-dong. I ordered a warm flat white. It’s more clear and nutty in flavor than heavy. It’s not overwhelming and quite enjoyable. This place is also known for its cookies. If you go in the late afternoon, the cookies are likely to be sold out. Just so you know, they offer delivery through Coupang Eats. The cookies here are dense and chewy. The Mugwort Injeolmi cookie has rice cake inside, adding a chewy texture. From the crumbly top to the various textures, it’s a delightful experience. It’s more sweet than bitter, unlike typical mugwort flavors. The Earl Grey Lemon Curd cookie is my personal favorite. The fragrant Earl Grey cookie and the tangy-sweet lemon curd cream filling complement each other harmoniously. It’s aromatic and pairs well with coffee. Next time, I plan to come and try the Earl Grey Lemon Curd cookie with a filter coffee.

This place is located right near Seoul’s Seolleung and Jeongneung, which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. It’s just a two-minute walk from Exit 7 of Samsung Central Station. The term “Kihei” means a small village on the southwestern coast of Maui Island in Hawaii. It’s said to be the place where the sunlight is the most radiant and the beach sand shimmers like jewels. It also symbolizes a place where the dazzling beauty of nature and the romantic melodies of birds can be heard. The overall atmosphere is clean and serene. You can feel the comfort of having three air purifiers running. If I were a local resident, I would probably visit here daily, like a sparrow coming and going. It’s a place where your heart can find tranquility.
